EFFECTS OF CULTURE FILTRATES OF PATHOGENIC FUNGI ON SEED GERMINATION AND SEEDLING INDICES OF Chrysophyllum albidum (G.Don)

This research was to evaluate the effects of culture filtrates pathogenic fungi on seed germination and seedling indices Chrysophyllum albidum (G.Don). The experiment carried out at Mycology Unit, Department Forestry Environment, Rivers State University, Nkpolu-Oroworkwo laid in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) treatment replicated twenty times mean value separated using Duncan Multiple Range Test probability 5%. biodeterioration fruits were caused by micro-organisms associated with infected obtained from three markets Port Harcourt Metropolis. isolated identified include; Apsergillus niger, Rhizopus stolonifer, Pseudomonas aeruginosa. results frequency occurrence revealed that Mile 1 market, stolonifer (8.0% ± 0.21) had highest occur, 3 Aspergillus niger (12.0% 0.30) frequency, while Fruit garden (15.0% 0.28) highest.
